Slow-Cookin'

This is the time of year I relish the option of cranking up the oven, but Donna told me about this site and my sister wanted me to post it.

This is the first recipe I'm trying from her blog and I'm hoping it'll be one calling for a repeat performance.  There are a bunch of other Asian ones I want to try, too, but certain I'll pass on the duck.  I have too many memories of seeing  flattened ducks hanging in the windows (accompanied by an forgettable scent) on the streets of HK as well as a cheng-out (dinner appointment) where we had to eat duck feet.  Holding the webbed foot with the chopsticks, I was instructed to bite off one joint of one digit, suck everything off it (webbing and all), and then spit out the bone before going in on the next joint.  Clearly the elders who arranged their budgets in order to eat at McD's daily  were spot on.

Which reminds me that Benjamin used to tell me he wanted to go on his mission to McDonald's.

Hmmm. Duck feet is something I never considered as nourishment. Definitely not a staple in my food storage!!
